A Bath Planet® of Portland walk in bathtub contains a door built into the front or side. The user opens the door and walks or transfers from a wheelchair or lift into a seat which is molded into the tub. The door opening is less than 4 inches high making access safer and easier than a conventional tub. With a walk in tub all you have to do is open the tub door and relax.

Do you have to lift your legs over the side of the tub?
No. Bath Planet® of Portland walk in tubs are manufactured to allow the user to enter the tub without having to lift his or her legs over the side of the tub. Many of our tubs are also designed for wheelchair users or people who must be moved with a lift. How do your walk-in tub doors work?
The door for a walk-in safety bathtub is designed to seal shut so that no water escapes. You walk into the tub, sit down, then close and latch the door. Bath Planet® of Portland has a patented no leak door system that provides you with safe, easy access.
Is the door on your walk in tub easy to close?
